Dr. Juan GonzalezDMD, OMSDr. Gonzalez is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Over the last two decades he’s practiced full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery to include complex dentoalveolar surgery, third molar removal, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, dental implants, facial cosmetic surgery and temporomandibular joint surgery.
Dr. Gonzalez is also highly trained in all aspects of anesthesia and has performed over 14,000 moderate to deep sedations. For the last 4 years he’s concentrated solely on full arch surgery (All on X) procedure, specially the severe bone loss cases requiring special implants like zygomatic and pterygoid implants. He is also an editorial member of the Journal of Implants and Advanced Clinical Dentistry, one of the largest and most prestigious dental journals. Dr. Juan Gonzalez was born in Spain and raised in Puerto Rico. After finishing dental school he completed a one While in the Army, Dr. Gonzalez completed his four year Oral and Maxillofacial training at Brooke Army Medical Center. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and after 12 years of active duty transferred to the Air Force Reserves where he’s been for the last 8 years as the Chief of Professional Services directly supervising 6 physicians. He’s also been a highly sought educator helping train dozens of active duty surgery residents. When not taking care of patients, Dr. Gonzalez remains active by traveling with his wife and three daughters, flying, shooting, hunting, wakeboarding, running barefoot half marathons and drinking wine with friends.

Prof. Dr. Paulo Henrique Teles de AlmeidaDDS, MS, PhDDr. Paulo Henrique Teles de Almeida is a highly accomplished dentist and implantologist with a passion for improving the quality of life of his patients. Dr. Almeida earned his degree in Dentistry from Guarulhos University. He went on to earn both his Master’s and PhD in Implantology from Faculdade São Leopoldo Mandic in Brazil.
Dr. Almeida is recognized as a leading authority in implantology and has served as a scientific reviewer for prestigious journals such as Annals of Medicine and Surgery, International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a contributor to the book Remote Anchorage Solutions for Severe Maxillary Atrophy.
Dr. Almeida is currently a Professor in Implantology and an Honorary Professor in Dentistry at the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia (UCAM). He also serves as the Coordinating Professor of Implantology for the Brazilian Association of Dentistry, and as President of the Brazilian Association of Dentistry.
As an international lecturer, Dr. Almeida has shared his expertise with dentists and implantologists around the world, helping to advance the industry and improve patient outcomes. Dr. Almeida’s commitment to excellence and passion for his work have earned him a well-deserved reputation as a leader in the field of implantology.

Overview:
The goal of this course is to provide the students with the necessary skill to perform surgeries for fixing zygomatic and pterygoid implants, thus allowing the rehabilitation of patients with severe maxillary atrophy, without the need for bone grafts. Thereby reducing morbidity and treatment period with predictability.
Each Participant will perform 4-5 surgeries, 6-8 Zygoma and 2-4 Ptreygoid Procedures.
Course Objectives
8 Hours of Instructional Material
- Review diagnosis of the severely resorbed maxilla
- Rational for stem cells to achieve bone graft success
- Hands-on workshop (on take-home anatomic models)
3 Ful Days of Surgical Experience
- Each attendee will perform 5 surgeries
- Each Participant will perform 5 surgeries, estimated 6-8 Zygoma and 2-4 Ptreygoid Procedures
